Almost a decade ago, I had finished my masters in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. I was trying to come up with the perfect name for a platform that prioritised how I felt about AI back then (and even more so today). I realised one thing: AI isn’t just about code, chatbots, or headlines—it’s about humanity. And so, Heartificial Intelligence was born!
Over the years, I’ve had the immense privilege of crossing paths with some of the most brilliant, unconventional minds shaping this field. Aerospace engineers using AI to copilot the design for space shuttle parts. Artists redefining creativity with generative tools. Policymakers quietly steering global AI governance. And even a few self-taught “AI curios” whose questions keep the rest of us on our toes.
These conversations—raw, unpredictable, and overflowing with insights—have often been my greatest sources of inspiration. But here’s the thing: they’ve mostly happened behind closed doors, over tea breaks, or via late-night emails and whatsapp threads.
Until now.
Spilling the ChatGPTea ☕ is a new interview series I am launching to throw open the doors to these discussions. Whether you’re an AI insider hungry for fresh perspectives or a skeptic wondering how this tech actually impacts your world, consider this your all-access pass.
What to expect?
☄️Unfiltered stories from innovators actively deploying AI in fields you’d never expect (think agriculture, dance, mental health, or refugee logistics).
💡Provocative takes from thinkers on the periphery—philosophers, poets, and policymakers asking, “Should we?” as much as “Can we?”
🌎 Geographic diversity that moves beyond London or Silicon Valley, spotlighting breakthroughs from Ghana to Kuala Lumpur to Reykjavik.
No jargon, or gimmicks—just honest exchanges that demystify AI’s real-world stakes.
The first edition is already live! It's a fascinating discussion with British Red Cross' very own Matthew Gwynfryn Thomas, the driving force for the Strategic Insight & Foresight team. Have a read about AI for Good: How Algorithms Are Reshaping Humanitarian Work.
